Vanessa Hansen Lynn Pinafore and Skirt

Buy the Lynn Pinafore and Skirt sewing pattern from Vanessa Hansen. This pattern started out as a skirt – something floaty and comfortable that would look nice with white trainers. But then the designer had the idea to add a pinafore bodice, and voilà, you can now make both a skirt and a dress! In addition to the original skirt design, the pattern also includes a skirt with an elasticated waist if you’re looking for a quicker make without adding a zip.

This is the perfect skirt. It's modern with lots of flair and looks great with both trainers and heels. The dress version is designed to be worn on top of a t-shirt (or why not try a soft turtleneck in colder weather) so that you can have all the cuteness of a pinafore but none of the worry about bra straps.

This pattern is drafted for someone who is 1.70 m (5'7") tall. The bodice is drafted for the following sewing cup sizes: B cup (UK 8 - 16), C cup (UK 18 - 22), DD cup (UK 24). You can calculate your sewing cup size by subtracting your upper bust measurement from your full bust measurement. The difference will tell you which sewing cup size you have: 5 cm (2") = B cup, 7.5 cm (3") = C cup, 12.5 cm (5") = DD cup. Your cup size can tell you if you need to make a full/small bust adjustment.

Notions: Thread // Views A and B: Invisible zip, 28 cm (11"); iron-on interfacing for waistband pieces // View C: 3.8 cm (1 1/2") wide elastic, the length of your waist measurement.
